Biography

Thierry Duchesne has been a professor of statistics at Université Laval since 2003. He is interested in statistical modeling and its applications in many fields such as actuarial science, animal movement, forest fires, criminology, and reliability. His expertise focuses primarily on the computational aspects of models and methods applied to longitudinal data or event-time data found in these fields of application.
